This is a portfolio website that I designed and built for our CEO’s wife to showcase her art. She had very high quality scans of all her art and wanted a place where she could showcase her work online, and wanted it to be clean and modern. I went with a very minimalistic design to allow the art to speak for itself and to streamline the user experience. I got inspiration for the flow and layout from one of her art galleries that I had attended.
I designed and built the site in a way to allow her nephew to easily add new art pieces and to indicate whether or not a piece was for sale. I also built out a dynamic contact form that allows users to inquire about commissions and purchases, and autofills the piece title if a user clicks on the inquire button on a piece that is for sale.
Esther Oppenheimer, an accomplished artist, needed a digital portfolio that would present her work in a clean, modern format while remaining easy to maintain for a non-technical user. The existing online presence lacked the minimal elegance her art deserved and did not provide an intuitive way to update pieces or handle sales inquiries efficiently.
Serving as both UI designer and front-end developer, I designed a minimalist, gallery-focused interface that placed the artwork front and center. The design emphasized generous white space, clean typography, and a distraction-free layout to let each piece speak for itself. On the development side, I implemented a streamlined content management system that allowed her nephew to easily upload new works, toggle availability status, and enable a dynamic contact form that automatically referenced the artwork in question—reducing friction for both site managers and potential buyers.
The resulting site is a polished, functional showcase that elevates Esther’s artistic brand while simplifying ongoing updates. The intuitive backend workflow empowers quick content changes without compromising design consistency, while the improved inquiry process has made it easier for interested visitors to connect directly about specific works. The final product balances aesthetic refinement with practical usability, supporting both the artist’s creative vision and her audience’s engagement.
